AN EVESHAM photographer has put his name in the frame for success with an exhibition of his work at Pershore Number 8.
Local snapper Simon Brown has been a professional photographer for many years and has won numerous awards for his work, but this exhibition is very much about the picturess he takes when not at work.
The exhibition is titled ‘Tranquility: peaceful landscapes’ and comprises nineteen large-format Giclée prints of landscapes in locations across the UK and abroad. The photograph shown here is titled ‘Haze in the trees’ and is one of the more popular pictures in the set.
Giclée prints are conservation-standard prints made on high-quality papers using pigment inks and then mounted and framed by hand
“I love landscape work and this exhibition shows some of my favourite photographs from the past decade,” he said.
“I try to capture landscapes which have an air of peace and serenity about them — the light or mist, the colour, sometimes vivid, sometimes muted — but always a stillness that can calm the senses. I hope you people can come along and enjoy them.”
The exhibition at Number 8 runs until Wednesday (June 5).
