Putting focus on starting a business

Evesham Editorial 8th Jun, 2019   0

ASPIRING entrepreneurs from across Evesham have been invited to an information evening at a popular town gift shop on taking the plunge and starting their own business.

Whether it’s selling at craft fairs, online tips on getting published or even setting up a shop, the advice session at JellyPickleJam Vintage Tea and Gift Shop on Thursday (June 13) will offer aspiring businesses all the information they need to get started.

Staff from JellyPickleJam, local artists and representatives from the Wychavon Business Grant Scheme have teamed up to bring Vale ‘makers and doers’ an evening of information and advice to turn their craft or passion into a viable business opportunity.

Topics such as legal obligations, finance, product quality, unique selling points, how/where to sell, brand development and marketing, networking, pricing and more will all be covered in a discussion.

Guests are invited to chat over a cuppa and see our products or ask further questions.

JellyPickleJam owner Lisa Whelan will be among those on the panel alongside local author Sue Johnson, Nikki Moulton – artist and owner of Florence and Belle, ceramic, glass and mosiac artist Katy Harrison and Emma White, owner of Nellies Handmade Children’s Clothing.

The event will be held at the tea shop in Vine Mews at 6.30pm. Places are limited and are bookable in advance.

E-mail Lisa at [email protected] or call 07939 346623 for more.
