Public meeting to try and find solutions to Evesham's traffic woes

A PUBLIC meeting will be held to find ways of improving Evesham’s traffic system- with residents urged to come forward with ideas.

The Vale of Evesham Civic Society is holding the meeting on Tuesday, June 28 from 7pm at the Town Hall to try and find solutions to solve the town’s traffic woes.

Residents are being urged to come forward with their own ideas in the hope that at the meeting the best proposal will be found to take forward.

As the Observer has previously reported, Worcestershire County Council is spending £100,000 on a traffic study of the town, but it’s not yet known when the findings of the study will be published.

Dr Sue Ablett, who chaired the public meeting on the South Worcestershire Development Plan last year, will once again be at the helm of the meeting.

Anyone with ideas should contact John Goodwin, Secretary of The Vale of Evesham Civic Society, with a brief outline of their proposal by emailing [email protected].

The society will then look at the proposals and put forward presentations at the meeting from four speakers with different ideas on how to improve the town’s traffic system.
