A LEADING Pershore firm received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2019 from the Hon Lady Morrison, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire, during a prestigious ceremony.
JMDA Design were awarded a Grant of Appointment in recognition of winning the honour for International Trade and presented with an engraved glass trophy and a scroll signed by The Queen.
Founders and directors of JMDA, Derrick and Cherril Barker accepted the Queen’s Award in recognition of the 97 children’s car safety seats designed by the firm to date.
“Our vision to reduce serious injury to children from road traffic accidents continues to grow,” they said.
“We feel extremely proud of all that we have achieved. Welcoming the Hon Lady Morrison, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire to our offices and being presented the award in front of so many guests was the highest point in our company’s history so far”.
JMDA is one of only 201 organisations nationally to be recognised for excellence with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise this year.
