MEMBERS of the Probus Club of Evesham thanked the steward of the town’s Boathouse for his oar-some service after he revealed he was leaving to join the police.
Caring members thanked David Hoskins and gave him a standing ovation last Thursday, October 6 when he announced he was leaving his current role.
President Brian Ireland handed him a leaving card and gift and thanked him for being such a wonderfully accommodating, charming and helpful host, a sentiment applauded by all members.
After accepting the gift and card, David thanked members and praised the Probus Club for encouraging other local organisations to make use of the Boathouse.
