Pride will go ahead this September

Evesham Editorial 3rd Mar, 2021   0

ORGANISERS of Worcestershire Pride have announced Worcestershire Pride will take place on Saturday, September 18.

After an incredibly successful Worcestershire Pride 2019, the committee were gearing up to host their fourth LGBT+ Pride festival in 2020, but the event couldn’t go ahead due to the Coronavirus pandemic and a digital Pride was held in its place. The team are now appealing for support to ensure the event can go ahead.

Chairman Mathew Skilbeck said: “After this week’s government announcement we’re delighted to be able to release a date for Worcestershire Pride 2021. We’re going to be back bigger and better and have some fantastic ideas for this year.

We’ve started fund-raising and as Worcestershire Pride is a strictly not for profit event, without sponsorship and fundraising the event just can’t go ahead. We really do appreciate every penny that people kindly donate and would love to hear from anyone who would like to be involved with this year’s Pride.”

Applications for sponsorship, trade stands or performers are now invited.
