THE CHAIR of Pershore’s Plum Festival has paid tribute to the thouands of visitors over the Bank Holiday weekend as the curtain came down on this year’s celebrations.
Angela Taylor hailed the contribution of every volunteer, entertainer, exhibitor, business and classic car aficionado who supported the event.
Labelled the ‘best Plum Festival in the past five years’ by one town business, she said committee members had received positive comments from businesses, residents and visitors.
“Although the weather wasn’t kind on Sunday, it didn’t dampen the spirits and tonnes of plums and plum products were snapped up by fanatical plum lovers who had journeyed from all over the UK to attend this spectacle,” she said.
“Thank you, it really wouldn’t happen without you all.”
