EVESHAM’s popular Bank Holiday Food and Drink Festival has been postponed due to Crown Meadow being too wet to hold the event safely.

Council chiefs revealed this weekend’s celebrations – due to be held from Saturday (April 29) to Bank Holiday Monday (May 1) have been rescheduled for June 2 to 4.

The Vale of Evesham Food and Drink Festival is an event to celebrate all local producers, bringing them together for a wonderful family weekend to showcase all Evesham and the surrounding areas have to offer.

The festival will include entertainment provided by local bands, local breweries, cider and gin distillers, meats and cheeses as well as live cookery demonstrations, chilli eating and baking contests to name but a few.

In a statement on social media, Wychavon District Council said:

“We’re sad to announce due to the high amount of rainy weather, the Evesham Crown Meadows are too wet to hold the event safely. But all is not lost, the Food and Drink Festival will now take place on June 2 to 4, 2023. Get the date in your diary now!”
