Postcode pays for Eckington residents

Rob George 23rd Aug, 2019   0

IT WAS a super Sunday for two lucky people in Eckington who scooped a cash prize of £30,000 each over the weekend all thanks to their lucky postcode.

The neighbours netted the windfall when WR10 3DQ was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Sunday (August 18).

The duo were the only people playing with the winning postcode and chose to remain anonymous, but had any of their neighbours been playing then they too would have picked up a cheque for £30,000.

Last year People’s Lottery players helped the Avon Navigation Trust and its Pershore Weir Island Wildlife Project gain £3,500 in funding which assisted with plans to develop a wildlife and community haven, making an attractive space for residents and tourists and securing long-term biodiversity in the region.
