Popular Vale choir raises cash for Brain Tumour Research

Evesham Editorial 18th May, 2017   0

A POPULAR Vale choir donned their best headwear to raise more than £120 for the charity Brain Tumour Research.

Caring members of the Vale Connection Ladies Acappella chorus wore hats to a rehearsal session as part of ‘Wear a Hat to Work Day’.

The cause is one close to the hearts of chorus members with personal examples of the help the research unit has given to people in those times of great need.

One member of the chorus lost her husband to this cancer last year while another member, Kate Hickman is currently undergoing chemotherapy sessions for a brain tumour.

She is taking part whenever she can in helping to raise money and last year the chorus took part in two concerts which raised in excess of £5,000 for the charity.

The chorus meets every Thursday at 7.30pm at St Mary and St Egwin Community Hall on the High Street and new members are welcome.
