EVESHAM police are warning residents to be alert after counterfeit bank notes were found in the town.
A member of the public handed in the fake £20 note to Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team on Monday (September 5).
Officers are now urging residents to be alert and told the Observer even though only one has been handed in; there is probably more circulating in the area.
On Twitter, Evesham SNT said: “One of these is fake, can you tell which?
“Be alert. Some counterfeit bank notes have been reported in the area.”
The bottom £20 note is the counterfeit note.
