A WOMAN’S body was found in a country lane at 8.30am this morning (Sunday).
Police have launched an investigation after the discovery in Kemerton Road, Bredon.
Sadly, a woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, which is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’.
Det Ch Insp Gareth Lougher said: “Our investigation is in its early stages with enquiries ongoing to establish the cause of death and circumstances surrounding the incident.”
And he moved to reassure the public.
“People may see an increased police presence in the area as we carry out enquiries as part of the investigation.”
