Man charged after police officer injured in suspected hit and run incident

A 46-YEAR-OLD Evesham man been charged with four offences following a hit and run involving a police officer in the town.

The charges are attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and failing to stop after a road accident.

Michael Ronald Park of Evesham Road, Cleeve Prior has been remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates today (Thursday) at 10am.

A 49 year- old woman from Evesham was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police and has been released on bail until February 22.
