THREE commercial businesses have been broken into in Pershore in the last week.

The incidents have prompted a warning from police for business owners to be vigilant and tighten their security.

Thieves accessed their targeted premises by smashing windows so officers suggest that, where possible, CCTV is called.

Traders should check their surveillance cameras are working and ensure they know how to save and download the footage.

Following the burglaries, police are also appealing for witnesses who saw anything suspicious or who have CCTV which covers Bridge Street from the afternoon of last Tuesday and Wednesday (May 28 and 29).

Likewise, officers want to speak to anyone who has seen or who may have captured CCTV any suspicious activity at the Allan Gears factory on Station Road from May 27 to 29.

PC Amy Hunt from Pershore Police Safer Neighbourhood Team spokesperson said: “Thank you for all of your help with this.

“It is only by us working together as a community that we are able to make Shop Watch work and help protect each other from crime.”

She urged any businesses interested in joining Pershore Shop Watch to email her at [email protected] to find out more.
