TWO girls aged just 11 and 12-years-old were assaulted in Evesham on the same day and police have now launched a CCTV appeal to identify a man who may hold vital information.

One incident happened between 3.20pm and 3.40pm yesterday when an 11-year-old girl was assaulted at the field by the playing area that leads from Brookside off Pershore Road in Hampton.

This is being linked with a similar incident that took place at about 1.30pm on the same day when it is believed a man assaulted a 12-year-old girl in Davies Road.

West Mercia Police have released an image of a man they want to locate and identify as he may have vital information relating to the assaults.

The man is described as aged in his 20’s or 30’s, around 5ft 6inches tall and slim build.

He had dark hair and facial hair which is described as a moustache and separate beard.

PC Chris Buffery of West Mercia Police, said: “We believe that the man pictured was in the location at the time and may have important information about the incident.

“While we acknowledge the image isn’t clear of his face, his clothing is very recognisable and would appeal to anyone who may have seen him to come forward.

“We believe that he may have been driving a small van.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Police on 101, quoting 469s of Thursday, August 24 2017.

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
