POLICE are used to dealing with slippery criminals but perhaps their latest detainee was far more slippery than most.
Officers from West Mercia Police were called out last night to ‘detain’ a red and black striped Milk snake which had decided to go for an ‘evening stroll’ in Evesham.
After capturing the slippery serpent officers took it to the Vale Wildlife Hospital.
West Mercia Police said: “Officers at Evesham currently trying to “detain” a snake which has gone for an evening stroll. Have you lost a snake?”
