KIND-HEARTED Pershore traders have teamed up to offer ‘plum-tastic’ giveaways to embrace the town’s landmark Plum Festival.
In August Pride, Pershore’s loyalty card, will be offering extra prize to provide a shot in the arm for local shoppers and a summertime boost to the town’s economy.
As well as £25 worth of Pride shopping vouchers, Pershore businesses Blue and Pershore Pet and Livestock have donated gift vouchers too, making sure there are three great prizes up for grabs.
As well as the August Pride draw which takes place next Friday (August 28), a host of offers will be available the popular festival next weekend.
Traders are asking shoppers to complete their Pride cards and enter them into the draw in plenty of time.
And as if that wasn’t enough, traders are going one step further by offering a second plumy promotion.
During the Bank Holiday Weekend in August, shoppers and visitors to the Plum Festival will be encouraged to visit shops, cafes and restaurants with the rather tasty offer of ‘double stickers’.
“This offer has worked well in previous years, so it is back by popular demand,” said organiser Fiona Abbott
“During the Plum Festival Bank Holiday Weekend card holders will be rewarded with two stickers instead of one, anytime they spend £1 or more.
“This is a great offer and makes it twice as easy for shoppers to fill a card,” she added.
Shoppers can complete as many cards as they like so there is no end to the fun.

Launched in April 2012, the scheme was set up to reward shoppers and visitors for spending in the town’s independent stores and businesses.
The scheme allows shoppers and visitors to Pershore to collect stamps on their card every time they make a purchase of £1 or more. Once they have collected ten stamps they are then entered in a monthly prize draw for a chance to win a cash prize
