YOUNG actors from the Festival Players have met to read through the script of their next play, another Agatha Christie murder mystery.
Spider’s Web is the second most successful play of the 1950s after the record-breaking The Mousetrap.
In the plot, a husband and wife, named Brown, are offered the rental of a house for only four pounds a month, which itself is very ‘strange’.
They take the house, not knowing that their surname is likely to lure thieves to the house to steal something the real Mrs Brown possesses.
Clarissa, the wife, is fan of practical jokes, but what should she do when she finds a real dead body in the living room and nobody believes her?
The Festival Players will take to the stage in Broadway, Bidford, at Evesham Arts Centre and at Number 8 in Pershore in July.
