Plans submitted which could see return of Twyford Golf Range

PLANS have been submitted which could see the return of Twyford Golf Range.

The application was handed to Wychavon District Council last month and includes a 16 bay golf driving range and a nine hole par three golf course.

Plans also include a shop, cafe, two video rooms and a ball wash store.

If approved by planning chiefs, it will be built on land off Lenchwick Lane, Twyford, where the former driving range used to be.

A consultation on the plans is open until next Wednesday during which residents and relevant authorities have the chance to comment on the proposals.

After that councillors on Wychavon’s planning committee will then make a decision on whether or not to give the driving range the go ahead.

So far no objections have been raised by County Highways, Worcestershire Regulatory Services or Norton and Lenchwick Parish Council to the proposals.

Commenting on the planning application, Wychavon District Council’s Economic Development Team said: “The centre has the potential to be a beneficial addition to Evesham’s visitor economy and provide an additional sporting amenity for residents.”
