RESIDENTS pulled on their gloves and grabbed a picker in the latest litter pick to keep Evesham tidy.
A total of 24 bags of litter and various other fly-tipped items were collected by 12 volunteers along Davies Road and surrounding roads and alleys. Councillors Gerry O’Donnell and Colin Tether were also involved.
This is the 14th time the Evesham Anti-Litter Group has been able to organise a litter pick and the most recent included new four volunteers, meaning 65 local people have now lent a hand in keeping the town clean.
The group works closely with Wychavon District Council and Evesham Town Council to promote education on the litter subject. Residents’ support will help to reduce littering and the cost of littering.
