RESIDENTS are being reminded that while pharmacies are very useful in helping with medical enquiries, not all of them will be open for all of Christmas and new year.
It is important for people to know which ones are open when so we have listed below which pharmacies are open on which days in Evesham.
On Christmas Day, Waterside Pharmacy is open from 1pm and 4pm.
On Boxing Day both Boots – Evesham Retail Park and Bridge Street – are open between 10am and 1.30pm and from 2pm and 4pm, and Morrisons, The Link, from 10am to 4pm.
On bank holiday Tuesday (December 27). boots Boots are open between 10am and 1.30pm and from 2pm and 4pm, Morrisons from 10am to 4pm.
On bank holiday Monday (January 2), both Boots are open from 10am to 4pm, although the Bridge Street one closes betweeen 1.30pm and 2pm. Morrisons is also open from 10am to 4pm.
Dr Kiran Patel, medical director for NHS England (West Midlands) said: “Pharmacists offer expert, confidential advice and treatment for many minor health problems, particularly winter illnesses such as sore throats and runny noses.
“As most GP surgeries will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day we would also encourage patients to order any medication they need in plenty of time so they have a good supply during the festive period.”
