YOUNGSTERS and staff at a Pershore nursery are celebrating an early Christmas present after the venue was rated ‘good’ by OfSTED inspectors.
Polkadot Nursery was inspected in October, some nine months after it joined the larger The Old Station Nursery Group, and provides full time and part time care for children aged from three months to five-years-old
Inspectors praised the nursery and said children settle quickly and develop good independence skills while the nursery itself offers ‘a home from home environment through a carefully designed nursery, including free-flow rooms and a dedicated outdoor space.’.
“The manager has high expectations for all children in her care. She has devised a well-sequenced curriculum that covers all areas of learning,” the report read.
“There is always an encouragement of learning through curiosity, discovery, and enjoyment, with plentiful activities and resources.”
Speaking after the report was released, nursery manager Alex Taylor said: “I am so proud of my team who have worked incredibly hard to receive our ‘Good’ grading from Ofsted.
“This is such an important achievement for myself and the team which recognises the dedication and hard work which we put into the nursery for our families.”
