Pershore's Hub is playing its part across the county

HUNDREDS of county residents have been boosted with advice and support on living a happier and healthier life thanks to Pershore’s Health Hub.

The free service on the town’s High Street is staffed by volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and works in partnership with existing local services to offer advice and support to all ages.

Trained men and women are on hand to listen and support visitors in their desire to life healthier lives, offer assistance to navigating bureaucracy and dealing with letters and bills and advice for dealing with employment issues, parenting and caring for elderly relatives.

Recently retired GP Chris Perks, a key member of the team, said: “The Hub’s aim is to enable everyone in our community to lead healthier, happier lives, making use of our strong network of mutually supportive services.”

Ian Birth, a hub volunteer and former assistant principal said: “Whilst we don’t always know all the answers, we can certainly direct you to someone who does.”
