PERSHORE’s own Banksy, Mr Sce, is doing the town proud throughout August, Plum Festival Month.

A series of 12 plum-themed artworks have been blossoming overnight to create a mysterious trail that contains a plumtastic message.

The last one will appear on National Plum Day on Saturday (August 28) in Plum Alley providing the final letter in the series of clues to create a plummy pun.

If you’ve spotted one, organisers would love to see your plum-perfect selfie taken alongside the artwork posted to the Plum Festival or Plum Heritage Facebook page.

The Heritage Art Exhibition is already underway in the Town Hall and people can see the amazing art created by local school children until Sunday (August 29) when it moves to the Number 8 Community Arts Centre.

The Welcome Back weekend is a celebration of life getting going again following Covid restrictions and features a two-day open-air market, live music, entertainment throughout the town and lots of family fun activities.

Most importantly of all, pick up a punnet of plums which will also be on sale throughout the weekend together with Plum Festival merchandise.

Festivities kick off in the centre of town at 10am this Saturday.
