A PROLIFIC shoplifter from Pershore has been banned from seven shops in the town after getting a three-year criminal behaviour order (CBO).
Kathleen Chesworth, 31, of Goldfinch Rise was given the order yesterday at Kidderminster Magistrates Court, Monday, December 16.
Chesworth is now prohibited from entering ASDA, in King Georges Way, Tesco Express, Savers, Boots and Pplumz Ltd all in High Street, plus Co-op in Racecourse Road and The Factory Shop.
The order also stops her from refusing to leave any retail premises when asked by someone who has authority to do so and from entering any retail premises that she has been banned from, where a banning letter/notice has been given to her previously.
Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Wychavon, Dave Wise, said: “Chesworth’s prolific shoplifting has led to this three-year CBO which we hope will protect retailers and the public from further criminality from this individual.
“Anyone who sees Chesworth in these shops or committing a crime should report it to police as soon as possible.”
