Pershore High students help support deaf charity

A PERSHORE High School group has raised £300 for a children’s charity.

The school’s Interact group recently handed over the cheque to Ben Andrews and his son Callum from the Worcester Deaf Children’s Society (WDCS), who organise events and provide support for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Ben and Callum, who is also a current Pershore High School student, spent time talking to members of the Interact group about the charity and the young people it helps and the money raised will go towards a future WDCS event.

Headteacher Clive Corbett said: “A big thank you to all students, staff and members of the local community who have helped with Interact this year.

“It has been our most successful yet and everyone takes such joy in knowing the money raised will go to a worthy local charity.”
