PERSHORE High School students have once again impressed their faculty after performing well in their GCSE examinations this summer.
A total of 69 per cent of grades were awarded at 4+, the standard pass rate, with 53 per cent achieving 5+ and 20 per cent achieving a 7+ which is equivalent to an A grade.
Overall, 64 per cent achieved 5 grades at 4+. The schools Attainment 8 score – a measurement of key stage 4 performance – was 46.1 out of 90. Staff said ‘students have worked very hard to attain these excellent grades.’
Head of school, Andrew Nockton said: “I am so pleased to congratulate our fabulous students on their great GCSE results. They have worked very hard and this has paid off with really well deserved results.
“I would like to pay tribute to all of their teachers and other staff who have supported the students so well and helped them to achieve their grades.
“We wish them every success in their futures here in the Sixth Form, at other local colleges or in Apprenticeships.”
