FIVE members of Pershore Phoenix Dragonboat Club paddled their way to success after competing for Great Britain at the European Nations Championships in Rome.
Andrew and Emily Forrest, Matthew Spink, Linda Morris and Michael Dacombe travelled to the Italian capital last month to compete at the 12th championships.
The Pershore paddlers all returned home with medals after competing with teams from 16 European countries on the water at the Laghetto Dell’Eur as temperatures soared to 35 degrees celsius during the competition.
Linda, Andrew and Emily all returned with a bronze medal after finishing third in the Premier Team final. Matthew won three gold and three bronze medals with the Under 24s Team and Michael picked up five bronze and one silver with the Under 18s Team.
