PERSHORE Community First Responders has received a fully-equipped life-saving vehicle thanks to two charities.
The kitted-out car was gifted by Arrive Alive with sponsorship from the Friends of Pershore Hospital.
Steve Cooper, from the Pershore CFR, said: “I am blown away by the support that has been given in making the dream of having a scheme car a reality.
“I cannot thank the two amazing charities which have made it possible enough.
“Arrive Alive and the Friends of Pershore are wonderful organisations, making a massive difference to communities and peoples lives.”
The vehicle will enable the Pershore CFR’s medically trained volunteers to get to 999 calls in the vital minutes before West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics arrive.
Debbie Roscoe from Arrive Alive said it was an honour to work with the Friends of Pershore Hospital which had been instrumental in the project.
“It would not have been possible without the magnificent support from Michael Amies and the wonderful trustees.”
She thanked everyone for their support and added: “Pershore Community First Responders have been an absolute joy to work with.”
