A PENSIONER in his late 80s is in hospital after he was hit by a car on Waterside yesterday (Saturday).
Witnesses are being sought for the incident which took place at about 11.20am when black VW Polo came into contact with the pedestrian.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital following the incident. A number of road closures were in place while emergency services were at the scene.
Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.
