PCC calls for questions from the public on police visibility and contact

Evesham Editorial 19th Jul, 2023 Updated: 19th Jul, 2023   0

POLICE and Crime Commissioner John Campion wants to hear from communities regarding their contact with West Mercia Police and visibility of police officers.

The next assurance and accountability session (Friday, July 28), will see the PCC putting questions and concerns to Chief Constable Pippa Mills regarding two of the public’s policing priorities.

The session will focus on questions submitted by the public on the visibility and accessibility of police officers in their community and the experiences of those who have had contact with West Mercia Police and the service they received.

To ensure questions are captured across the three counties, there are a number of ways they can be sent in simply and easily before midday next Thursday (July 27) including by e-mail to [email protected]

Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion said: “The subject of police accessibility and visibility, and contact with the police, is a top postbag item for my office. As your voice in policing, I am committing to ensuring your concerns are heard.

“I am therefore encouraging people to submit any questions or concerns so I can gain a greater understanding around where I can support and challenge the force to continue making a real difference that will benefit communities across West Mercia.”

The public assurance and accountability meeting will be filmed and made available following the meeting.
