CELEBRATIONS will be on offer on an afternoon packed full of fun when Pebworth’s Party in the Park returns after a three-year absence.
Sunday’s (September 11) show will get off to a sparkling start with a grand opening by Sunny Ormonde who plays the outrageous Lilian Bellamy in The Archers.
She will be accompanied by the Pebworth Fire Fighters and the Pebworth Parpers Brass Band.
The afternoon will continue with dance displays, music and a parade of vintage vehicles including classic Messerschmitt microcars and around thirty 1950s and 1960s scooters from The Awfully Pleasant Scooter Association. The Scrufts Dog Show will run again with five fun classes and fantastic goody-bag prizes for the class winners.
A highlight of the event will be a flypast by a vintage RAF Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which will be followed by another memorable performance by the hilarious Pebworth Red Barrows wheelbarrow display team.
The quirky events which made Pebworth Party In The Park famous will return again: Cow Pat Bingo; Giant Sack Race and Egg Splat. Visitors will also be able to enjoy all the usual fete activities such as children’s races, an art and craft show, a produce show, side show games, street food, afternoon teas and a licensed bar.
Pebworth Party In The Park takes place from 12midday on the village green.
