Pair suspected of supplying Class As

A MAN and woman were arrested on suspicion of supplying a Class A drug following a raid on an Evesham property.

The pair, who have been released on police bail pending drugs analysis and further forensic work, were detained after officers found a large quantity of what they suspected to be heroin and a roll of cash at the flat.

Police raided the property on Temple Mews last Friday (November 7) and used an enforcer and a sniffer dog as part of Operation Fuchsia.

Another flat in Temple Mews was also raided on the same day and officers found a quantity of cannabis and the occupier was subsequently reported for a drug offence.

A total of 13 officers from the proactive CID were involved in both warrants.

Det Sgt David Knight said: “We are regularly carrying out these warrants and will continue to do so in order to prevent the harm these offenders cause to the community.

“I was happy with the outcome of the warrants and hope that this sends a message out to drug dealers and goes some way to reassuring the public that we will continue to target drug dealers in order to reduce the overall acquisitive crime that is related to the production, sale and use of such drugs.”
