CARING highway workers came to the aid of an injured owl on a main road in Worcestershire.
The Ringway workers made the unusual discovery on the carriageway of the bird which was injured and in shock.
Having calmly rescued the bird, the workers took the owl to a local bird sanctuary which took care of it for a few days.
Happily, Ringway have confirmed on social media the owl has since been returned to the wild.
