AN EVESHAM school are celebrating after achieving top marks in their most recent Ofsted inspection.
Prince Henry’s High School was recently visited by Ofsted for a two day inspection in March before receiving an Outstanding grade in all areas.
Inspectors concluded Prince Henry’s provides an exceptionally high quality of education for its students. Pupils were observed to be ‘flourishing academically’ and ‘growing into caring and responsible young adults’.
Staff were regarded as ‘enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable’ with classrooms being a place for thought, challenge and reflection.
Students were also seen to benefit from a ‘comprehensive personal development offer’ while achieving ‘exceptionally well’.
Teachers and other senior personnel encourage students to learn about and share the importance of values for succeeding in later life.
The schools sixth form was also commended for having an ‘aspirational culture which values hard work’.
Inspectors also noted ‘the school takes particular care of its most vulnerable students’.
Headteacher Dr Tony Evans said: “Ofsted’s report recognises the wonderful school that Prince Henry’s is, and is a testament to the hard work and efforts of the students, staff, parents, carers, governors and everyone associated with the school.
“I would like to thank everybody who has supported and made Prince Henry’s the school that it is today.
“I am incredibly proud to be Headteacher of this Outstanding school. However, we realise that, in an ever-changing world, there are still many challenges for young people and we will continue to be relentless in our drive to support and prepare our current and future students for the world in front of them.”
