A WIDE variety of events have been on offer at Evesham’s Riverside Shopping Centre for visitors young and old to enjoy.

The force was with shoppers and staff when Darth Vader from the popular Star Wars films made a special visit.

Children were able to have their photograph taken and printed sat in a replica Star Wars Star Fighter with Darth Vader, a Storm Trooper and Jedi host.

The event also included a rocket-making workshop and Star Trek space-themed balloon modeller.

Youngsters were also treated to a selection of traditional fairground stalls at Riverside Shopping Centre’s ‘All the Fun of the Fair’ event.

The free event included hook a duck, tin can alley, splat a rat, ball in the clown’s mouth and free freshly made candy floss.

Popular villains and princesses made a special visit to Riverside Shopping Centre to entertain shoppers.

The villains included Jafar from Aladdin, Maleficient, the Evil Queen, Cruella De Ville and Captain Hook while Elsa from Frozen, Cinderella, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Rapunzel and Snow White were also on hand.

Children were able to have their photo taken with their favourite villain or princess in front of a magical forest backdrop.

The photos were printed for the children to take home and then uploaded onto Riverside’s Facebook Page

Entries in the younger and older age groups with the highest number of likes had the chance to scoop a cash voucher to spend at Riverside Shopping Centre.

And Lilly Wilmot was one of the winners as her photo had the second highest number of likes on the centre’s Facebook page.
