Orchid walk treks through the Vale

WALKING and wild flower enthusiasts are being invited on a free Orchid walk in one of the most picturesque areas of the Vale.

Setting off from the Fish Hill Picnic Place, the walk will take in six different types of Orchid recorded at the site including Common Spotted Orchid, Twayblades, White Helliborines and Bee Orchids.

The free walk will take place on Tuesday, July 5 at 6pm from Fish Hill Picnic Place and will take between one and one and a half hours to complete.

Tanya Feasey, Worcestershire County Council’s assistant countryside sites officer, said: “Fish Hill Picnic Place is one of the best sites for Orchids in the county.




“This is a great opportunity to come and see the Orchids and learn more about this fascinating plant.”
