YOUNG performers from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Evesham joined Strictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rhianoff on stage at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury.

The 19 students, aged from nine to 15-years-old, danced alongside I’m a Celeb and X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden and South African Dancing With The Stars professionals Marcella Solimeo and Dylon Daniels.

The students attended a rehearsal which was led by Jake and other professional dancers on the tour.

On stage, the students dazzled during their dance to “New York, New York” which Jake sang live, and Kristina cheered on the young dancers from side-stage.

The students performed to an audience of more than 370 people and were met with huge applause.

Dance to the Music is a show created, directed, choreographed and starring Strictly Coming Dancing veteran Kristina.

The show takes attendees through a history of dance – starting with the Charleston from the 1930s, hip-hop from the ’90s, and even modern ballroom dance.

The show has been touring all around the UK since January.

Stagecoach Evesham principal Charmaine Brumby said: “It was amazing to see our students perform on stage with Kristina, Jake, and the rest of the professional dancers on Valentine’s Day.

“At Stagecoach, our goal is to teach Creative Courage For Life, and there’s nothing better than watching your students shine with confidence and courage while performing.”

Stagecoach Performing Arts Evesham is part of a network of more than 700 extra-curricular Performing Arts Schools worldwide.
