Evesham’s much-loved annual regatta is back this weekend, promising a vibrant weekend of thrilling racing, community spirit, and riverside celebration.
Taking place over Saturday and Sunday (May 2 to 3) the event will once again transform the banks of the River Avon into a vibrant spectacle of high energy and competition.
With more than 400 crews from across the UK expected to descend onto Abbey Park to compete in a 1000m course on Saturday, this will be followed by a fast-paced 500m ‘super sprint’ on Sunday, drawing crowds of spectators to Evesham.

Chairman of Evesham Rowing Club, Simon Edwards, said: “Following the success of last year’s Evesham Regatta, we’re looking forward to another outstanding weekend both on and off the water.
“It’s a true flagship event for the town, filling Crown Meadow and Abbey Park with spectators and creating a fantastic atmosphere.”
He added that the regatta brings a real economic boost to Evesham, as hundreds of athletes, coaches, families and supporters visit for the weekend, with many staying locally.
As one of the club’s primary fundraising events, the regatta helps support the ongoing development of its historic boathouse facility, which has been at the heart of local sport since 1863.
