AUDIENCES are invited to indulge in wit, glamour, and sparkling repartee as BAD Theatre (Bretforton Amateur Dramatics) brings Noël Coward’s classic comedy, Private Lives, to the stage in March.

Set against the sun-drenched backdrop of the French Riviera, Private Lives directed by Kate Berry is one of Coward’s most celebrated plays.

It tells the story of divorced couple Elyot and Amanda, who unexpectedly find themselves honeymooning with their new spouses at the same hotel.

What follows is a fast-paced, deliciously sharp battle of words, wills, and unresolved passion.

The production will run at Bretforton Theatrebarn, a hidden gem set within a beautifully restored medieval tithe barn from Thursday 5 to Saturday March, 7.

With luxurious seating, a raked, heated auditorium, and a bar for pre- and post-show drinks, it offers an intimate, atmospheric setting for this classic play.

Alice London, chair of BAD Theatre, said: “Renowned for its sophisticated humour and timeless appeal, Private Lives showcases Coward at his very best – elegant, biting, and irresistibly funny.

“It’s been a firm favourite with theatregoers since its premiere in 1930, and we hope our audiences will enjoy it too.”

Performances start at 7.30 pm, with a matinee at 2 pm on Saturday.

The bar opens an hour before the show for pre-theatre drinks.

Bretforton is on the B4035 between Evesham in Worcestershire and Chipping Campden. Free car parking is available.
