PATIENTS in Evesham and Pershore are getting more access to primary care through a new Clinical Contact Centre.

The ‘South Worcestershire GP Services’ scheme has recently been launched across the towns, providing patients with an alternative option to manage their health and wellbeing when they call their GP practice for a consultation.

Patients now have the opportunity to have a telephone or Skype consultation with a skilled health professional, such as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, enabling their condition to be managed appropriately without having to wait to see a GP.

Patients will still be able to book appointments with their GP, but for many people this could offer a much quicker resolution, improving their primary care experience and improving the availability of face to face appointments at the practices.

Visit www.swgpservices.nhs.uk to find out more about the Clinical Contact Centre.
