EVESHAM and District Music Club has launched its new season programme.

The four concerts running from September to March will include popular actor, singer and pianist, Michael Lunts.

The first chance to see the music club in action will be Wednesday, September 30, with a special performance by The EEDON String Quartet at Evesham Arts Centre.

The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost £15 for adults, £14 for concessions and £3 for students.

A WOMEN’S choir are donating their time to raise money for two charitable causes in Evesham.


Vale Connection Ladies Choir will be performing for a Musical Gala Event on Friday (September 25), at St Mary’s Parish Church Centre at 7.30pm, in aid of Evesham Volunteer Centre and St Mary’s Catholic Church.

The centre help people with their Community Transport Scheme to get doctors and hospital appointments as well helping the elderly maintain friendships through their Promoting Older People’s Independence Project with lunch clubs and a home visiting service.

Tickets cost £10 and include a glass of wine or a soft drink, they can be bought by visiting the volunteer centre or calling them on 01386 40165 or from St Mary’s or contacting them on 07729 455635.

AN EVESHAM venue is set to host an array for events on advice and entertainment.

After a successful ‘busk stop’ during this year’s Evesham Music Festival, Open Mic Busk Stop is returning to imaGine on Saturday (October 3), offering people the chance to ‘jam along’ to an entertaining musical atmosphere.

The Repair Café is also returning to imaGine on Saturday October, 10 where skilled volunteers will continue repairing electronic appliances, gardening tools, clocks and watches and offer bicycle maintenance.

The Open Mic Busk Stop is a free event and runs from midday to 4pm.

The Repair Café will run from 10am to 2pm.

VALE residents are being urged to put some ‘faith’ into an upcoming George Michael tribute.

Stanton Village Club, near Broadway, is presenting an evening of live entertainment featuring Joseph Sansome as the iconic British star tomorrow (Saturday).

The former design consultant’s professional singing career started when he was spotted by one of many tribute agencies and has since performed with the likes of Whigfield, Jason Donovan, Sugarbabes and Marc le’Mar.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10.

A VALE youth centre is inviting residents to its charity race night.

Ourside Youth Association is holding the fun packed race night on Saturday October, 3 at the Fairfield Hall in Evesham.

The event starts at 7pm and tickets cost £10, which includes a fish or sausage and chip supper.
