LOVERS of reptiles and other exotic creatures have been invited to learn more about the animals at a Badsey club.

The Evesham and District Reptile and Exotics Club (EDREC) meet once a month at Badsey Recreation Club with the aim of letting members get hands on experience with animals they wouldn’t normally see or even hold.

A wide array of animals are on offer including skunks, genets, pygmy hedgehogs, millipedes, frogs, snakes, lizards and many more.

Meetings will be held on February 8, March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7 and July 5 and the group are also pushing for charity status this year.

A BRAND new Zumba class ideal for mums will kick off at The De Montfort School’s sports centre.


The new classes will be run by qualified instructor Ibby George and start with a free session on Tuesday (January 20).

Sessions will be £5 per class after the first class at the school on Four Pools Lane every Tuesday from 8pm.

COMMUNITY interns have the chance to learn new skills, gain experience and build self-confidence.

The new project from North Worcestershire DIAL is open to anyone over the age of 19 who lives in Worcestershire and is not currently in paid work.

The organisation will work with the individual to put together a plan they will find interesting and fulfilling, recording their progress and working over ten or more sessions towards a certificate.
