TOWN residents are being sought for the next litter-pick being organised by the Evesham Anti-Litter Group.

Volunteers are being asked to meet tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am in Market Place and gloves, bags and litter picking sticks will be provided.

More than 60 people have taken part in litter picks across the town after the issue was identified in the blueprint for the future development of the town.

Volunteers will be picking litter up from the Rynal Estate including the alleyways, Boat Lane, the Riverside and Blind Lane, Bridge Street, Abbey Lane and Brick Kiln Street and Littleworth Street.

THE COUNTDOWN to this year’s Hampton Flower Show kicks off this weekend with an egg-citing Easter bingo event.


Ahead of the show in Saturday, September 15, the first fund-raising event is a chocolate Easter bingo tomorrow at The Cider Mill in Hampton.

The bingo will start at 7.30pm with plenty of Easter eggs to be won.

VALE residents are being invited to a spring coffee morning.

Throckmorton Chapelry is holding its annual event tomorrow (Saturday) at Throckmorton Village Rooms, where there will be lots of stalls including homemade cakes, a prize draw, tombola and bric a brac.

All money raised will go towards the restoration of the idyllic 13th century chapelry.

The event runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm and entry costs £1, which includes coffee and biscuits.
