MUSIC lovers are being invited to an evening of classical music at Evesham Arts Centre on Thursday.
Evesham and District Music Club will welcome Catriona McDermid on bassoon with Jonathan Musgrave on piano for a night of the music from the likes of Bozza, Ravel and Worcestershire’s own Sir Edward Elgar.
These musicians are supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and have enjoyed a busy year performing around the country.
The concert starts at 7.30 and tickets are available at the door
VALE residents have been invited to take the Chance to Act with weekly classes at Pershore’s Number 8.
The classes offer the opportunity to get together with like-minded people aged 55 and above and share a love of drama, explore improvisation, script-reading, ensemble work, characterisation and devising.
The group will create a short new piece of theatre for performance, with themes decided on by the group. The classes will be led by experienced theatre practitioner Tiffany Hoskings on Friday mornings from 11am to 1pm until March 23.
Admission is £4.50 a session including a hot drink.

A MACMILLAN mobile service is coming to Evesham to provide free support and advice about cancer.
Cancer information specialists from the charity will be on hand to answer questions about the disease from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday in the Market Square.
The team encourages anyone with worries or concerns relating to cancer to stop by, whether you’re living with or beyond cancer or are a carer or loved one of someone who is.
