A BRAND new response vehicle will help ensure that people living in the Vale and surrounds will receive prompt treatment if suffering an medical emergency.
Vale of Evesham Community First Responders unveiled the latest addition to its fleet last week after the vehicle that was meant to become the latest response car was unfortunately written off in September whilst attending an incident.
The purchase of the new vehicle was only made possible by the generosity from local individuals, businesses, local authorities, councillors and community organisations.

Tony Haines, chair of the trustees said: “We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown by our community.
“This vehicle will make a real difference to people’s lives.
“Every minute counts in a medical emergency, and this investment helps us provide more coverage to the Vale of Evesham and its surrounding villages.”
Community First Responders (CFRs) are volunteers trained and dispatched by UK ambulance services in their local communities.
They provide essential lifesaving treatment and support in those crucial minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.
This includes responding to patients suffering a life-threatening emergency such as a cardiac arrest, stroke or breathing problems.
Vale of Evesham Community First Responders attend 999 calls on behalf of West Midlands Ambulance Service and rely entirely on charitable donations to operate.
They also offer free CPR training to groups.
The purchase of the vehicle was supported by the Wychavon Rural Fund, Worcestershire County Council and councillors, John Martin’s Charity, Evesham Town Council and the Misses Barrie Charitable Trust.
