New tourism map to boost Evesham visitor economy

A NEW tourism and leisure map showcasing the range of countryside pursuits available from The Valley retail and country park has been launched.

Developed specifically with overseas visitors in mind, the new map highlights the full leisure offer aside from the shopping experience and aims to attract more visitors to the Evesham area over this summer.

These include scenic countryside walks, direct links to New Farm nature reserve, and range of dog‑friendly walks, as well as its dedicated dog agility areas.

The map also looks ahead to future seasonal activity, including the ambition for a summer ferry link between The Valley and Offenham, helping connect visitors to the wider Avon Valley area.

Alongside The Valley’s leisure offer, the map incorporates an updated town centre map produced by Evesham Place Board.

This aims to encourage visitors to enjoy a dual visit, combining countryside, leisure and retail at The Valley with heritage, independent shops and hospitality in Evesham.

Phil Maclean, retail director at The Valley, said: “This map is about making it as easy as possible for visitors to see just how much there is to enjoy in and around Evesham.

“The Valley’s country park offer has grown significantly, and by linking it directly with the updated town centre map we’re encouraging people to enjoy both – countryside and town, leisure and culture, all in one trip.

“Joined‑up thinking is exactly what helps attract visitors, extend dwell time and support our local economy.”

The new map will be distributed across tourism outlets, accommodation providers and visitor touchpoints throughout Worcestershire and beyond.

In parallel, the updated town centre map will be added to town notice boards over the coming weeks.

District councillor Charlie Homer (Evesham North, Con), added: “This is an excellent example of partnership working in action.

“I’d like to praise Evesham Place Board for the quality and ambition of the updated town centre map and for working so constructively with The Valley on a joined‑up tourism campaign.

“The Valley has developed its leisure and countryside offer, and this joint approach will help present Evesham as a complete destination – one that offers nature, activity, heritage and a vibrant town centre all within easy reach.”
