New school block opens its doors

PERSHORE High School’s new humanities block has been officially opened as part of an ambitious £3.4million project to improve the school’s facilities.

Former governor of the Station Road school David Hughlock cut the ribbon to formally open The Hughlock Building which has been named after David’s wife, Bronwen, who sadly lost her brave fight against cancer in August.

The new humanities block formed part of a major £3.5million improvement project which also included the new art block which was opened last autumn.

Headteacher Clive Corbett said: “Bronwen will always be remembered by all at Pershore High School for her ever positive demeanour and her selfless support for groups such as the Youth Council and Interact.”
