A NEW monthly drop-in surgery for Hampton residents with the area’s district councillors will open its doors this weekend.
Coun John Clatworthy, Andrew Dyke and Robert Raphael will be at Hampton Farm Shop tomorrow (Saturday) and the first Saturday each month from 11am to 12midday.
They will be joined by Worcestershire County Councillor Peter Griffiths and Town Councillors Bill and Celia Kimberley.
“We realise that some residents would rather talk face-to-face rather than by email or telephone, which is why we have introduced this new regular event.” said Coun Raphael, who is currently chairman of Wychavon District Council.
“All of the councillors involved have signed up to the pledge ‘We will always do our best to help where we can or find out where you can get help with issues that are important to you.’
“One of the most annoying issue for residents is not knowing which council or authority deals with certain issues, we promise to get to the root of a residents problem and do our best to get things sorted, whether that means tackling the county, district or town council or taking the matter further to our Member of Parliament, then that is what we will do.”
