A NEW bus shelter on Evesham’s High Street has been unveiled.

The shelter, which is adjacent to the entrance to the railway station, was called for by the Vale of Evesham Civic Society.

The group then successfully bid for funding from Evesham Town Council’s New Homes Bonus pot of cash to make the project a reality.

Coun Colin Tether, Evesham chair of the Vale Public Transport Group, said: “I am delighted to see the bus shelter so well used and I am certain it will prove popular with waiting bus passengers as the winter approaches.”
